How a Custom Guide Works
1. Custom Guide Requested
The Traveler completes and submits a Custom Guide Request with their travel information and recommendation requests. They can also include any existing plans for their trip, allowing the Advisor to tailor recommendations accordingly.
2. Request Reviewed and Quote Provided
The Advisor or Influencer reviews the Custom Guide Request and decides whether to accept or decline the opportunity to assist the traveler. If accepted, the Advisor or Influencer will provide a quote for the Custom Guide. This quote is based on the the per-recommendation rate listed on the Advisor or Influencer's profile and may vary depending on demand. Please note that the quote does not include additional fees.
3. Guide Payment
The Traveler reviews the quote provided by the Advisor or Influencer and completes payment or declines.
4. Recommendations Curated
The Advisor or Influencer carefully curates personalized recommendations tailored to the specific requests made by the Traveler. Drawing on their local expertise and knowledge, they ensure that each suggestion aligns with the Traveler's interests and preferences, providing a truly customized experience.
5. Recommendation Review and Feedback
The Traveler reviews the recommendations and provides feedback if desired. If any recommendations don't quite fit their needs, the Traveler can request changes to make sure their guide is curated just the way they want!
6. Messaging
Throughout the Custom Guide process, the Traveler and Advisor/Influencer can easily message each other if there's anything to discuss. If questions, comments, or clarifications come up, feel free to send a message to make sure everything is tailored to the Traveler's expectations.
7. Updated Recommendations
The Advisor or Influencer reviews the feedback provided by the Traveler and updates the recommendations accordingly, ensuring they align more closely with the Traveler's preferences and needs.
8. Final Feedback and Updated Recommendations
The Traveler has a final opportunity to provide feedback on the updated recommendations, requesting any final adjustments. The Advisor or Influencer will then make the necessary changes and finalize the Custom Guide for the Traveler.
9. Custom Guide is Complete
At any point during the Custom Guide process, once the Traveler has approved all recommendations, the Custom Guide is complete and ready to provide the Traveler with an authentic, local experience in a new city.
